In today’s fast-paced world of recruitment, the recruiter’s mobility
plays an important role in success of both larger agencies and smaller
start-ups alike. Being able to effectively work from multiple locations,
whether from a company office in a different town or country, from your home,
or just working while the move using a laptop, has become paramount to many
recruitment companies’ success.
These days computers and their screens come in many shapes and sizes. According
to a hardware survey conducted by a US-based gaming developer Valve, as of
February 2010 there were at least 14 commonly-used screens sizes and
resolutions, all of which can affect the way things look on a user’s screen. A
common scenario would be where a person uses a
wide-screen notebook at home and a 1024*768 monitor in the office.
Understanding the challenges faced by recruiters around the world, the
development team at Swiftpro have made a deceptively simple enhancement to
their recruitment system CVPlus that will undoubtedly ease the life of many recruiters.
In the new build of CVPlus recruitment software 93.0.23), the system now
automatically optimises the layout of information that the user sees on a computer
screen according to the screen size they are using. Gone is the need to re-adjust
screen layout every time a recruiter must revert to using a different machine.
The programme also remembers when a user has worked on a computer with the same
screen size before. In such cases, CVPlus adjusts the screen panel layout in
line with the preferred layout stored for that person.
If the recruiter logs onto a computer they have not used before, for
example in a different branch of the company, CVPlus automatically searches its
database for a screen layout that would best fit the computer screen being
used. This seemingly small enhancement will save valuable time for many
recruiters, and is currently only offered only by a small number of recruitment
software vendors in the world. Achieving greater efficiency and better use of a
recruiter’s time is what Swiftpro’s recruitment software is about.
