The labor market is very competitive and especially when there is a surplus of labor supply as it is the case in the MENA region. However, take the correct steps and you will find yourself on the road to a successful career. It all starts with being in the right job and surrounded with the right team. Taking this first step has become easier nowadays with the emergence of many websites that link together job seekers and employers.

For job seekers, the first thing they have to do to benefit from such websites is to have their most updated CV on their profile. The next step would be to start surfing the website for suitable jobs. One of the perks of such websites is that a job seeker can save time and have an efficient job search by customizing his search. A customized search can be through:
1-Search by industry: One can search jobs by industry such as finance, marketing, design, engineering, etc.
2-Search by location: one can look for a job based on the preferred location of the job he's looking for.
3-Salary: One can search for a job by setting the minimum salary that he would accept in a certain industry. However, this option is not available in all websites.

The job seeker also has the option to have the website notify him when a vacancy that meets his search becomes available.

For an employer, the first step would be to create a company profile where they write a brief introduction of the company. Then second step would be to post the available vacancies at the company or organization with their respective job descriptions. However, the company does have the option of keeping its name confidential as well as some information regarding the jobs such as the salaries.

The employer can also search through the profiles of job seekers and contacting them without posting a vacancy beforehand. This is mostly done when the job position is critical and the company wants to be extremely selective in choosing a candidate for the job.

In this way, the company can have a big pool of suitable applicants to choose from and the job seeker can be more efficient in searching and finding a suitable job.
