Why You Should Play Baby Shower Games

If you are planning a shower, then you know how important some good baby shower games are. The games at the shower are half of the fun. Often the games are one of the things that make the baby shower memorable for everyone.

If you are planning a shower, then you know how important some good baby shower games are. The games at the shower are half of the fun. Often the games are one of the things that make the baby shower memorable for everyone.

Many people choose to hand out small, simple prizes to the winners. The items do not need to be costly and can include anything from homemade cookies to scented candles, hand and body lotion, teas, coffees and so on.

Not only do some people like to give the winners of the games awards, they like to find a way to make the loser stand out too. There are many harmless and fun ways to this including having the loser eat a whole jar of baby food, suck on a pacifier, drink from a baby bottle or wear a bib.

There are all sorts of games with a baby theme that the host can plan to play. For one of the games each guest will be asked to cut a piece of yarn that they think will fit around the expecting mother's belly. Whoever guesses the closest will win a prize.

Another fun game to play is a game where the guests have to guess how many of a specific item is in a jar. For example the jar can be filled with baby safety pins or anything that is small enough to fit several of into a jar, and then each guest will have to guess how many of this item is in the jar. Whoever is the closest with their guess will win a prize. At the end of the game, the expecting Mom will be the one to take the jar full of goodies home with her.

A game that is popular and many will think of as easy is to hand out a pad of paper and pen to each party participant and ask them to write as many baby products as they can think of in a 5 minute period. In the beginning, it seems easy enough. As the time ticks away, the guests will be stumped trying to think up more items. After the time is up, the winner is the person that made the longest list.

Baby shower games help to make the baby shower a lot more fun for all of the guests, and the new mother. They help bring everyone together in a fun setting and make the mother to be feel like a star for the day.
