Addison, TX 22 DEC 2014 VEMBU TECHNOLOGIES, a leading provider of affordable software and cloud services for small and medium sized businesses, is extremely pleased to launch proprietary UltraBlaze(™) technology for VMware Backups. Vembu recently launched Vembu BDR v2.0.2 with new features. With the new release, Vembu extends the support for high speed VMware backups and cloud replication. Powered by UltraBlaze (™) technology, VMware Administrators can now experience unparalleled speeds, including replication to secured cloud platform better than Veeam.
“No other VMware backup services vendors can provide such high speed backups with a flexibility to spin off VMs in cloud”-said Larissa Simone, Director Of Marketing, Vembu Technologies.
Vembu UltraBlaze:
With v2.0.2 release, Vembu backup virtual machines using hot add mechanism. This mechanism is fully automated and powered by Vembu’s UltraBlaze technology. Access to datastore (SCSI or SAN) storage is done directly from the proxy VM without VMware host interaction. Using this feature, VMware users don’t require a separate physical machine to backup the entire ESXi host. VMware Administrators can use one of the proxy VM’s and perform 3 times faster backups. Strictly no data transfer (no IOPs) happens through LAN during backup. As a result, backups can be completely LAN free and, it won’t affect daily LAN traffic during backup hours.
VMware CBT:
Considering the storage and bandwidth corners, Vembu only gets the lists of blocks that are changed between the incremental backups using Changed Block Tracking (CBT) – a native VMware feature. This helps to minimize backup time and increases the efficiency of block-level incremental backups.
Vembu BDR v2.0.2 is powerful, easy-to-adopt, affordable backup and recovery solution, provides a complete datacenter protection that customers require, including support for workstations, Windows, Linux, physical and virtual servers.
