Some people
may not be familiar with the idea of a holiday village, sometimes called an
HV.
While staying
at hotels and other travel accommodations can be fine for some people on
holiday, these places are often not close to the areas people want to
visit.
They also often offer limited
entertainment options and dining options.
This means people end up paying money to take taxis or other forms of
transportation if they don’t have their own vehicle available.
That can quickly add up and turn your great
holiday budget upside down rather quickly.
With
Holiday
Villages, everything you need is right there.
In fact, some of these holiday villages
provide full catered meals delivered right to your villa every day!
Others offer different restaurants that serve
a wide variety of food.
Staying in
large hotels has other downsides, too.
For one, the rooms are often very small, and you rarely have more than a
sleeping area and a bathroom.
However,
holiday villages provide guests will spacious villas or full apartments.
This means they have access to full kitchens,
a living room, and a bedroom.
Some even
have multiple bedrooms so family members don’t have to share.
Another benefit is that these villas don’t
share paper-thin walls with other rooms, so you won’t hear everything your neighbours
are doing.
Adults often
don’t like going on holiday only to find themselves surrounded by screaming
children whose parents obviously have let them run loose for the trip.
Often, there’s very little that can be done
about this, especially if the children aren’t actually causing any harm or
damage.
However, there are a number of
holiday villages that are actually adults-only.
No one under a specific age can stay at these villages.
Some holiday villages are even reserved for
the mature adult only.
This allows
couples in their golden years to spend some time around others of the same age
and to simply have a relaxing, quiet holiday.
This is a great way to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary
or a birthday, for example, or to just get away from the hustle and bustle of
life and recharge.
As you can see, staying at a holiday village has many different benefits. The accommodations are more spacious and luxurious than you’d find at a standard hotel, even a four or five star one. Everything is located within walking distance of your private villa or chalet, too, so no rental vehicle is necessary. Many holiday villages even offer different entertainment programmes and activities every evening so you won’t end up sitting around in your villa wondering what to do.
