Honeymoons are a very important part of the wedding preparations and rightly so. This is such a special time where couples can take time off just for themselves and enjoy the holiday of their dreams. Some couples like to go on cruises, for example, and some like to find a place which is secluded and private. Beautiful Costa Rica has it all.
The wonderful thing about honeymoons: Costa Rica is the place where you can enjoy everything from partying to tranquil hikes in beautiful countryside, visiting wonderful National Parks to see the amazing animals and flowers, to enjoying a relaxing spa treatment for two.
Some favorite destinations for honeymoons are Manuel Antonio or Playa Tamarindo but really Costa Rica is full of great places. You can enjoy walking along the beach at sunset to dancing salsa at a club. The perfect weather enables you both to enjoy the outdoors all the time. Whether it’s having fresh fruit (often from the nearby tree) for breakfast with organic locally grown coffee, to partying. Even some hotel reception areas are outdoors.
You don’t have to travel far – it’s a three to eight hour flight from most U.S. and Canadian destinations. Also, there are so many options for your honeymoon. You can get an all-inclusive luxury hotel or you can even rent a nice house on the beach, with all options (from inns, ‘normal hotels’, to cabins) inbetween. The country is also very varied so you can holiday near an active volcano in Arenal and enjoy the lakes and mountains, or you can go to a beach resort like Jaco and laze on the beach, swim in the pristine ocean and enjoy nice restaurants and a hot night life.
It’s easy to book your honeymoon and I would suggest you get some tips about the country, research it online, where you can actually book it too, or visit your favorite travel agency. Also it’s important to always ask for honeymoons – Costa Rica specials to get good rates or packages.
Although the country itself is definitely to be recommended for any vacation – for honeymoons, Costa Rica has it all. Come and enjoy.
